Old is Gold as Iryn Namubiru delivers at her Timeless Concert

All tickets and tables for Iryn Namubiru’s Timeless Concert at the Serena Hotel sold out three days before the event. Many were seen stranded at the entrance, despite earlier communication that the event had sold out. They perhaps thought it was a joke. They perhaps thought they would get lucky and find more tickets at the entrance. This was not the case. Not even the willingness to pay extra could save them.

The event marked a spectacular return to the stage for Iryn Namubiru who last staged a concert eight years ago at the same venue. It also showcased Swangz Avenue’s commitment to delivering unparalleled musical experiences.

The Industrial area-based label delivered a high-quality production that left no stone unturned. Every element was executed flawlessly, from impeccable sound and lighting to seamless time and stage management.

By 5 PM, Iryn Namubiru’s fans had flocked to the Serena, eagerly awaiting a timeless experience and as they did with Azawi and Juliana’s concert, they were true to their word as Iryn Namubiru took to the stage at exactly 8 PM, with the show concluding at 11:50 PM.

Namubiru proved that she is a force to reckon with when it comes to vocals with every song she did and never at any one time did she tire despite performing for three hours. She performed songs like Nkuweki, Nkwagala, Yoono, Mpulila, Begombeko, Nabulo, Nsonyiwa, Essimu Yékiro, Njakunoba, Nsiimye and Kabiki among others in her four sessions.

The concert featured surprise performances from Jose Chameleone, Ragga Dee, Chosen Becky, Sama Sojah, Swangz Avenue’s Azawi, Elijah Kitaka, and Zafaran. Each artist brought their unique energy to the stage, enhancing the overall experience and delivering unforgettable moments.

The concert attracted notable personalities, including Buganda Kingdom Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga, Zari Hassan, former Vice President Gilbert Bukenya, fashion mogul Abryanz, fellow artistes such as Halimah Namakula, Spice Diana, Juliana Kanyomozi, Carol Nantongo, Mesearch Ssemakula, Vampino and Ykee Benda among others.
