Following the success of its first Sip Over event, which celebrated Women in Media, Johnnie Walker Uganda hosted another inspiring evening on Friday, August 16. This time, they honoured women golfers. The event took place at the Uganda Golf Club and was dedicated to women excelling both on and off the greens.

This event was a significant milestone for Johnnie Walker’s “She Walks” mentorship programme, which was launched in March to empower women across various fields. It has rapidly become a beacon of inspiration, fostering a community where like-minded women can come together to mentor, uplift, and share their stories of success.

Caroline Ampire, the Media Manager at Uganda Breweries Limited, expressed her thoughts on the programme, saying, “This programme resonates deeply with me because it is about progress, breaking boundaries, and celebrating women. Tonight, we honoured women in golf, learnt from their journeys, and, of course, enjoyed the finest that Johnnie Walker has to offer.” The evening, hosted by Wendy Angudeyo, the Lady Captain of Uganda Golf Club, was a delightful mix of celebration, whisky mentorship, and education. Female
