Gospel artiste Gabie Ntaate staged her first concert last Friday evening at Sheraton Hotel Gardens with thousands turning up to support her.

According to the artiste, more than 2,000 people turned up for her event, which was a good number considering the timing of the show and the amount of money people had to pay. An ordinary ticket cost 100,000 Uganda shillings while VIP and VVIP cost 300,000 Uganda shillings and three million Uganda shillings respectively.

Gabie Ntaate stepped on stage at 10pm and because of her religious beliefs, she started the show with a prayer before a worship session where she sang the hymn, great is thy faithfulness. The first set did not last long as she only performed two songs including Because of You and Ninze before Demasco Sesanga and Sandra Suubi each did two songs.

Ntaate then returned for the second session where she sang songs such as Gwe asembayo, Wano, Binene and Nange Nkwetaaga among others, leaving the stage for John Marie, Coopy Bly, Sarah Najjemba, and Rachael Namubiru.

It was, however, veteran gospel artiste Betty Namaganda with her Yesu Anatela Okuda that got everyone on their feet singing along. Grace Morgan was the last artiste to perform Mbera, his collaboration with Levixone before Ntaate returned for her last session.

Just like the first, her last session saw her doing only three songs Awo, Brag about God and Cheza for Yesu. Cheza for Yesu had everyone on their feet including fellow artiste Spice Diana who was part of the audience. Many were seen pulling off rare dance strokes.

Besides her impressive vocals and execution during the evening, Gabie Ntaate impressed with her dress code. In every session, she came wearing a different outfit. In the first, she wore a white outfit with a long cape. In the second set, she dressed in a fitting white and black dotted dress with white gloves, a white hat, and a white belt while in her last, she wore a purple long dress.
